Nakia is a dedicated and experienced operations professional with over 15 years in the NYC Charter School sector. Since joining Hyde-Brooklyn in 2011, she has served in a variety of roles — including Administrative Assistant, Operations Manager, and Student Enrollment Specialist — gaining a comprehensive understanding of school operations and the critical role they play in student success.
Nakia is deeply committed to building strong, supportive relationships with families and creating a welcoming environment for all members of the school community. Her ability to connect with people, solve problems with care, and lead with consistency has made her a trusted presence at Hyde and beyond.
In addition to her work at Hyde-Brooklyn, Nakia has served as an Operations Consultant for other charter schools, sharing her expertise to help streamline systems and improve operational efficiency across the sector.
A proud graduate of CUNY Baruch College, Nakia brings a thoughtful, solutions-oriented approach to every challenge. Outside of work, she enjoys singing, spending time with her family, and relaxing with her French Bulldog, Riley — who’s always happy to greet new friends.
