Hyde Leadership Charter School – Brooklyn’s mission is to develop the deeper character and unique potential of each student. Using the Hyde process of family-based character education, Hyde-Brooklyn will unite parents, teachers and students in helping each student achieve his or her best academically and in sports, the arts, and service to the community.
Elementary School
Our Elementary School (K-5) has been a beacon of hope in East New York for over 15 years. We partner with families to ensure students leave prepared for Middle School, grounded in strong academics and core character traits. Through rigorous academics, arts, and athletics, students are challenged and inspired to reach their full potential. Our dedicated teachers use data-informed instruction to personalize learning and foster a culture of effort and excellence. Community traditions include Hyde Huddle, School Meeting, and Showcase Performances build confidence, celebrate talents, and strengthen connections.
Middle School
Our middle school (6-8) provides students with a supportive and growth-oriented environment that prepares them for the academic and personal challenges of high school. Students are taught to take responsibility for their learning through reflection and goal-setting, helping them build strong habits of accountability. They also develop leadership skills by participating in student council, school meetings, and sharing feedback with teachers. As a result, Hyde students enter high school confident, capable, and prepared—excelling in both academics and extracurricular activities.
