Elementary School

Hyde Elementary is a bright beacon in the heart of East New York, standing out amidst warehouses and large buildings as a place of hope and learning.

For 15 years, we have been a cornerstone in the community, educating the children of hardworking families and serving as a second home where students are nurtured, challenged, and inspired.

At Hyde, we partner closely with families to ensure that every child leaves our school prepared for the “real world” with a strong academic foundation and core character traits that lead to success in college, careers, and life. We believe in uncovering each student’s unique potential, offering opportunities to grow through rigorous academics, the arts, and athletics.

Our educators are deeply committed to their craft, engaging in ongoing, intentional training to refine strategies that drive student success. With data-informed instruction, teachers personalize learning so every child can thrive. This approach creates a school culture that is positive, nurturing, and rooted in effort and excellence.

Through a well-rounded, robust and engaging academic program, students develop not only critical thinking skills but also habits of mind that foster ownership of their education. Beyond the classroom, students engage in community traditions such as Hyde Huddle, School Meeting, Discovery Groups, and Showcase Performances—experiences that strengthen connections, celebrate talents, and build confidence.
