Academics
At Hyde, every student has the opportunity to reach their unique potential.
Learning at HYDE
Our teachers use data-driven instruction, integrate Hyde’s Words and Principles into lessons, and provide scaffolds to ensure every child can access new concepts and skills. Students are encouraged to think critically, explain their reasoning, and apply learning to real-world situations.
ELA & Literacy: Students explore engaging, multicultural novels and tackle themes connected to real-life issues through writing and projects. K–8 students also reinforce phonics, grammar, and foundational literacy skills.
Mathematics: Hands-on and visual tools help students build problem-solving strategies. Lessons encourage questioning, collaboration, and critical thinking.
Science & Social Studies: Technology-rich projects and labs allow students to research, explore, and connect learning across subjects.
Enrichment & the Arts: Dance, music, performing and visual arts, and physical education help students discover talents while practicing listening, speaking, and kinesthetic skills in preparation for performances and showcases.
Field Experiences: Curriculum-aligned field trips broaden learning and give students first-hand experiences of the world around them.
