Barbara D. High is the Director of Family Education here at Hyde Brooklyn, she is an experienced professional who is passionate about fostering and helping families build strong connections between the school and its families for over 30 years. Open communication and collaborative partnerships are essential to a child’s success, she is committed to creating a welcoming environment where parents feel supported and informed. In her position she is available to answer questions, provide resources, and connect families with the support they will need to navigate their child’s educational journey.
In my role, I’m dedicated to developing impactful programs and initiatives that will empower parents to actively participate in their child’s education while enhancing tools that will enrich their own lives. Therefore, while organizing workshops, family events, parent discovery nights, fall family day, cultural events, and communication strategies that will bolster the family environment and strengthen the school community. Creating a supportive environment where families can thrive, and students can excel is a priority”.
Barbara earned her Undergraduate Degree in Business Management from Southeastern University in Washington DC, and a Master’s Degree in Leadership and Management from Webster University in St. Louis Missouri.
As a trained and certified facilitator, it brings me so much joy to see and witness the many families that I have impacted over the years create meaningful and fulfilling life-long lessons that will continue for many years down the road!
